Wasted x Mascara: Merch for Going Postal
Wasted has teamed up with Mascara, the heavy shoegaze band from Paris, to create the official merch for their debut album Going Postal.
Formed in 2019, Mascara brings together Valentin Beaucourt on vocals and guitar, Guillaume Guirao on guitar, Maxime Lebredonchel on bass, Clément Aulnois on drums, and Vincent Juvillier on samples and synths.
Since forming, the band has channeled modern existential tension into a sound that is equal parts crushing and cathartic, fusing alternative-metal, shoegaze, grunge, and post-hardcore into dense, emotionally charged soundscapes that shift between collapse and liberation. Drawing on influences from Deftones, Alice in Chains, Silverchair, Nothing, Chevelle, and Hum, Mascara has built a sound that heavy 90s grunge and alt-rock fans, as well as dreamy shoegaze listeners, can all find their way into.
Going Postal, out March 13, 2026 through Fever Ltd, is the band's first full-length release after three EPs, most recently 2022's HLA-11TF.
Writing the album took two introspective years, while it was recorded in one intense week with Clément Decrock at Boss Hog Studio. The nine tracks move between light and dark, swaying from pulverizing riffs to hazy distortion to experimental ambience. Its themes circle generational trauma, memory, and the perpetual struggle for personal and global resilience: an album about what it feels like to live in a world that's falling apart, one that keeps pushing you to your limits while pretending everything is fine.
The record has already drawn attention beyond France's usually quiet heavy-shoegaze scene: while heavy shoegaze remains largely underrepresented in the country, Mascara stakes its claim alongside international heavyweights, blending accessible melodies with punishing riffs.
For this collaboration, Wasted designed the official merchandise line accompanying the album's rollout, a T-shirt built to travel with the band across their summer tour dates, and available now on the Wasted online store.
